Kristina Sevel

Kristina discovered her love for yoga in 2008 when a friend pulled her into her first class at Harmony Studios. Her practice deepened when a stubborn injury finally began to heal and as her practice became more focused she discovered the balance that yoga was bringing to all aspects of her life. She completed the Jivasara 200-hour certification program in the spring of 2011 with Marni Task. Kristina teaches a fun, upbeat Vinyasa Flow while creating a union between breath, movement and strength. Her classes encourage playfulness, enthusiasm and developing your own unique practice at every level. Kristina learns more each day from the wonderful mentors and students surrounding her.

Kristina Sevel instructs the following:
  • Hour of Power Yoga
  • This is a 60-minute Power Vinyasa class. Be prepared to break a sweat as the studio is set to 90 degrees. The deeper your connection of movement and breath becomes, the more the heat begins to build inside you as opposed to around you; leaving you fully charged and present in each pose. Practicing in a heated environment increases your flexibility as it opens and loosens your muscles. Bring a towel and water bottle in with you, both of which we have available for sale at the studio
*The heat is not for everyone and can be overwhelming at times/upon your first visit. Listen to your body! Exit the class at any time if need be and a desk yogi will be there if you need anything.

Suitable for intermediate yogis; some prior yoga experience recommended. / Balancing classes: Yin Yoga, Restorative Yoga, Gentle Yoga, Deep Stretch Vinyasa

  • Power Yoga Basics
  • This 60-75 minute class will teach you the fundamental poses and breathing techniques used in Power Yoga classes, preparing you to take any either our Power Vinyasa or Hour of Power classes! This beginner friendly yet challenging flow is taught in a room heated to 90 degrees and designed to help you increase strength and body awareness. We will explore a wide variety of standing and seated asanas, as well as mediation and breath work. If you are new to the practice, looking to fine-tune some of your postures, and/or wanting a slower paced flow, this is a great class for you! Bring a towel and water bottle in with you, both of which we have available for sale at the studio.
