Deep Stretch Vinyasa - All Levels

Sara’s love for dance, movement, anatomy, and kinesiology is what brought her to her first Yoga class in 2005. She has found an art form in the many styles of Yoga throughout her years of practice, especially in Hatha, Ashtanga, Vinyasa, Anusara, Jivamukti, and Satyananda.
 
She received her 200-hour Teacher Training in 2012 through Marni Task’s Jivasara training and holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Lake Erie College where her studies were focused in Anatomy, Kinesiology, Pilates, Wellness, and Sports Nutrition.
Building heat to open the body can be done in several ways: one is practicing a rigorous fast paced class such as Power Yoga, another is to simply slow down and hold your asana longer. Deep Stretch is an active stretching class that targets primary muscle groups surrounding the hips, hamstrings and upper back. Tight muscles can cause imbalance and pull the body out of alignment. This class begins with warm-up movements to build heat and prepare the muscles to for stretching and consists of postures held for at least 1-2 minutes while also incorporating a Vinyasa flow. When we slow down we are more capable of listening to and connecting to our bodies. Take some time to breath, watch your practice intensify.
